-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

It sat alone at its favorite spot, the place where the hive ends and humanity - or, what was left of humanity - begins.

The serpent hiding behind the shadows scanned the horizon, careful to spot any potential threats, but if this, the day a decisive event was supposedly going to be in action, began like other days, it was going to be a long moment, almost too much to bare for even Bloo. But such thoughts of boredom and fatigue never crossed the royal xenomorph's mind as it was too wise to allow such things to hinder its actions, so it waited patiently, confident that the Queen Mother's goal was to be achieved soon.

On days such as this it would play a game, one that any normal member of any species would find disturbing: it would sit there and think about its most exciting kills and wonder how it could have made them even more gruesome.
Had this one been a human, it would have surely grown up to be a serial-killing cannibal.
It began drawing in the sand with the tip of its tail, illustrating the numerous things it had seen in its long life. Hundreds of mangled bodies rotting accompanied by rivers of blood, human children being sliced apart, his few moments devouring human and Yautja infants alike. The greatest sensation in life was felt when it had flesh in its jaws, and crushing them in between its teeth so that it may feed.

It loved eating babies.

Deep in thought about its own fantasies it failed to notice four figures running in the opposite direction, entering and building and crossing toward a point where one of the entrances to its home was. But eventually sensing them in the area, it paused for a moment. Flexing out of its fetal position and slithering towards the intruders, it thought to itself how truly pathetic humans were, how inferior they were.

They were babbling on about something important, it was sure. Throughout the decades on their cradle world it had learned to understand Basic English. It could never speak, though. Not only because it lacked the ability to speak anything but its native tongue, but because of its own belief that uttering the words of its enemies would leave the creature in disgrace. The prey motioned forward, all of them throwing hand gestures at each other and covering corners of the building Bloo uses to escape its fleshy confinement and into the broken down world of earth. Unlike the monster’s brethren, however much it hated humanity, it couldn’t help but admire some of its unique qualities, such as the world outside the shadows they call home, or the fact that the strange liquid that spurts out of their bodies tastes so refreshing. They also achieved something the xenomorphs hadn’t: technology and artificial weapons. Of course, its own species had learned the basic functions of these weapons, but didn’t think they could create something of its caliber. Not that they needed them. They were weapons themselves.

Two of the humans moved into the building, reluctant to get near the fleshy tubes protruding out from the sad excuse of a tower. Rubble and debris everywhere, stains of blood and corrupt souls, skulls, decaying bodies.

The usual in these circumstances.

Striding in closer, Bloo ducked behind a road barrier as one of the humans pointed its weapon in the creature’s direction. “False alarm, sir. Thought I saw something… must be that crap I ate earlier. Don’t know how the Yutani guys can go on without eating, though. I don’t like them, but I admire them at the same time…â€Â

“What are you babbling about?†his superior answered him. His own weapon was pointed downwards and he knelt closer to the ground, taking a step backward. The other marine, lost in his own thoughts, just replied with a grunt and gazed at the broken-down building.

“Damn. You think?…â€Â

Bloo moved in closer, coiling around a lamp pole and climbed higher, jumping atop one of the arches on the building, all the while keeping itself safe in the shadows. Now with a better view of the two fools, it could plot an ambush. But for that it would have to signal the others who had stayed behind. The human closest to the door stood slightly higher and shrugged, aiming his weapon into the darkness of the inside of the building. Reloading and stepping in slowly after accepting a message from the two inside, he spoke to his partner one last time before stepping in.

“I think we better call for support.â€Â

delta-boy, Human, 15 years ago

Delta, having remained quiet through smalll ordeal that they put Sasyell through was humourous, as he knew if Saysell wanted he would of ripped a new hole in Carmines head with one of those knives he had.
Remembering Saysell from back in his AD days.
Delta had just jonined up when Saysell left.
Also hiding a smirk behind his helmet as Gene 'ordered' them round. Although Delta knew she was enthuasiastic he compared her to Nikkie_Murray, a nice person... With no experience and Delta had no trouble spelling out what happened to Nikkie.
Since Edward was out of the picture, and as 2IC in First Squad, he was in charge until Ed came back.

Malus' harsh voice sang through Deltas intercom and he replyed a simple "Roger". Through his throat-mic.
Delta had just finished his own share of the work.
Razor wire strung along the outer edges of the area, 4 long range silent motion detectors which had a small pict feed through it and fiber-optic lines ran along to Deltas personnal own WY laptop which sat on a few munition boxes.
The fiber-optic lines which connected to the laptop relayed info and brought back a small pict feed and the normal template of a motion detector on his screen. Delta had a clear vivid picture link.
Delta had also dug a few dozen Antlion Shrapnel Mines just inside the razor wire positon... And then strung with the help of a fellow Marine, a second line to box them in.
Useful but potentially lethal, he'd realy that info to the Marine and WY Corp alike.
The only visible downside to the mines was that they could be picked up through Thermal vision.
As heat radiated off them and the preds used Thermal as a hunting norm. While Delta knew it would rip Xenos to bloody shreds, Yautja had the tech it to.
Delta noticed the other Marines had just finished their work. Most had dug firing pits, Sandbag strewn outposts and a small sandbag wall to symbolise where the mines where hidden.

Walking back to 'The Waffle', and sitting on down on a nearby crate beside his powerful portable which also picked up radio frequencies and could bug in on their private chats.
He unclipped his helmet and let it rest on the box next to him and pulled the head-set over his head and let it rest on his neck while he flattend out a holo map of the perimeter. He ran theough the defences.
- Dropship stationery in center.
- Razorwire strung on four sides by X2.
- Four logn range motion detectors with a small pict deployed on four cornerss.
- Dozen sentry guns deployed in inner defence at 150 degrees each.
- Antlion Shrapnel Mines positioned at four corners.

Delta smiled and kicked his boots up on a nearby crate.
"Ohh", he thought. And remembered he'd have to set the sentrys to register friendsly IF tags. And adding DBO members names to the sentrys Ai aswell.
Punching down the button.
Calling down to Mark and Carmine.
"Its safe now, friends". He smickered and ignored them. About to grab some chow when an audio private chat between the AD leader Kidd, and the distinguished old member TDN.
He clicked the intercept buttom and the chatter rang through his own intercom.
Even though a USCMC soldier would ever have tech like this. Being a Mercenary had more than just privilleges besides money.
He listened intentfully as the two veterans slated them. Anger surged through Delta and the smile dropped from his face, overcome by bitterness and resentment for the so called 'Hero'.
If only he knew. Who was he to judge, he wasnt their when the sit hit the fa, when Kidd retired and left that idiot Peterson, who's head was so far up his arse it was in his mouth.
Yes, while the 'Peoples Hero', was sipping Wine and munching on appetisers AD was led by a bumbling idiot and couldnt do a milk run without difficulties.
Who even jumped ship on their last mission, leaving tem stranded on a pred eldar ship. Where Delta had been killed, Malus had actually dragged Deltas groy remains to the dropship before they got out.
Delta was cloned. Brought back from the dead.
From his first mission on Delta 3093 ( Descending Fate), to that derelict ship (Lost souls) and know on his homeworld, here on Earth.
Petersons' fate was also another subject.
While on his way to Kidds re-instatement of Ad leader. Petersons' APC was ambushed by an Xeno horde.
Right in this city during the early stages of the infestation. He was presumed dead.
He wondered if he'd meet him again?

Death, he had died at the hands of Pred428.
But he wasnt going to takethat chance again.
His new personnal armoury that he carried was well adept at dealing with monsters like these.
His M41A2 Pulse Rifle, while the AD marines and most of the WY corps ones carried the M41A1.
The difference was the A2 had better built in recoil stabillizers at the expense of 20 rounds.
For the sake of 20 rounds for an easier held shot, it was worth the trade off.
He also carried 10.MM Hollow rounds instead of the normal fully jacketed rounds what the AD marines carried.
While the fully jacketed rounds generally went through a target or broke through armour.
The Hollow rounds expanded and flattened on a target, maximum damage and lethal to preds and Xenos alike.
Delta also stacked his Desert Eagle on his left waist holster, a VP70 on the right and a Colt Tactical M4A3 on a shoulder holster and various ammo for them all on his MOLLE M3 body armour.
Learning for him previous mistake of carrying only Phosoprous grenades which punched a hole in Xeno's, but lacked power against the Yautja's rough and fire resistant skin. So he carried a Czech made RG34 which exploded on contact and a massive damage rate.
And his usual Thermite grenade.
For the under-slung grenade launcher/Shotgun, he carried a few Buckshot clips on a leg pouch.
And his usual Ka-Bar knife on a boot scabbard.
He would dare anyone to try him.

Delta smiled again as the thought of it and the warm sun started to set and the burnished look of the ruined city reflected off it. Black and yellow.

DeathWraith, Human, 15 years ago

The city was strange... Many things had changed since his last visit to Earth so many years ago, and since then he had only seen colonies and prisons. The more Xeuss went tward the center of it, the more signes he could find that a slaughter had taken place there. He listened closely for any cries or screams or anything that could hint at a survivor, but all he could hear was the wind blowing a newspaper down the street. The Queen had told him there were no survivors, but he was not sure he could trust the Queen. He had a lot of experience with Queens and now that he was free of her influence again, he didn't trust even the one who spawned him.

Xeuss walked into a shop through the broken window, took a Big Red and sat down chewing on it, still listening for anything familiar. The taste and smell of cinnimon was relaxing. He did need to relax a little, the thought of finding the half of his family he had never known was a bit concerning. He had been known to pick the local hive over his friends before in certain situations, but this was a very important mission and the whole DBO was here, this wasn't just him and Lucier robbing the Corporation or hunting or training or whatever. The future of the Melanie and everyone living on her depended on Weyland-Yutani taking control of this city.

Xeuss got back on his feet and wlked out into the empty street again. Most of the street lights were still working, he had no idea where the power came from, but it was there. Down the street there was no sign yet of any living thing, human or otherwise, so he just started running. Corner after corner he felt he was getting closer to the Queen, a moment later he could hear her again, but didn't let himself get bound by her words again. He just ran closer to the place she could be heard from, until behind one corner he heard "I think we better call for support."
Xeuss stopped and listened. He couldn't hear any motion trackers. Was there someone he had missed who detecte him and alatmed the others? Or maybe they weren't talking about him. The next moment felt very long, or maybe it was a long time that felt like a moment, but when it passed he would find out that the one the man was talking about was noone other than Bloo.

x_saysell, Human, 15 years ago

Looking round his new surroundings and at his new minder. Saysell began to wonder why he had'nd just ran straight to the Melanie when he first meet up with Xeuss, but no he was a marine through and through. He wanted these survivors off this rock just as much as he wanted off. He began to think he could take them away in the Melanie, but that was hardly the place for survivors.

Turning to his newest guard Saysell began to slowly lift his arms towards his webbing. The Solider quickly poised his rifle straight at Saysell's head.
"No need for that, I am only getting a smoke." Saysell opened the first pouch on his webbing showing the marine it only had a half empty pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
Taking two cigarettes out Saysell offered one to the solider, but he quickly declined.
"Of course, I am still a hostile right? Fair enough your loss"
Saysell began to light the cigarette and took his first drag, stepping slightly outside of the tent so not to fill it with smoke and fumes. Every step watched and monitored with the itchy trigger finger of the solider. He then placed the other un-lit cigarette behind his left ear, just in case the man changed his mind.

Looking out onto the now fully functioning base Saysell began to smile.
"They wont be coming in anytime soon ey?" Saysell's voice resolute and iron with knowledge of how the Xenomorphs in this area behaved.
The end of the cigarette was now becoming nothing more than ash; Saysell quickly flicked the end away.
"Crappy imports" Saysell's joking manner fell to deaf ears as the Solider was still staring blankly at him with his rifle poised.

"Right enough with he whole sentry thing, you can obviously see I am no threat, I have no weapons, I am numerously outnumbered here and of course I am here to give you dam monkeys information!" Saysell's voice began to rise; it then quickly lowered just as it had started.
"So don’t you think you can please lower that dam rifle?" Saysell was not angry, just simply bored and he enjoyed nothing more than shouting at new recruits. A relapse to his days as 1st lieutenant in AD.

"When is he going to get here? I haven’t got all night."
Saysell's question seemed to fall on deaf ears once more, this man was truly a solider through and through. He showed no sign of thought and emotion; he was just a loaded weapon that would be more than happy to go off in Saysell's direction.

"Yeah, whatever asshole. Just sit your ass down." Mark said, sick of the guy's attitude, and not enjoying the fact that he thought even for a moment that he could raise his voice at him. He knew that Gene was getting a raid party set up soon, and he wanted in on it. He just didn't want to be stuck here baby sitting some DBO prima donna.

He took the cigarette from behind his ear and placed it in his mouth. He lit it and took out another cigarette, handing it to the guy who'd just tossed his own out because apparently, it was a 'stupid import'.

"Here. Take mine. They're fresh." He said, practically tossing the cigarette at him. He shook his head, not giving the cigarettes to the man out of good will. More just to shut him the fuck up. He wasn't happy babysitting and he was sure his captive was in the same boat. He took a drag on his cigarette and sighed.

This almost makes me wonder if being a Corporate grunt is worth it... he mused to himself, as he had previously. But then he remembered why he was was here anyways. To kill the enemies of the mother fucking human race and get some payback while he did. Screw whoever he had to babysit or kiss ass to do it. He just would do it anyways and try to have some fun on the way.

Gaunt, Human, 15 years ago

Gaunt had been running along the roof tops for about twenty minutes now.
He was much happier up here then down on the ground, All the rodents, insects and birds had fled from the waves of alien that had gone past earlyier and had gone on the roofs.
A small snack in Gaunts opinion but it would do, He turned and peered over the edge of the building to see if he could see anything or anyone on the ground, He didn't exspect to find anything as usual but when he looked he saw someone alright, A bunch of somebodies to put it that way.
He jumped onto the roof of a closer building to get a better look, It was only after he got closer that he relised who it was.
It was X_Saysell and it didn't look like he was in a good position ar rhe moment with one of his men pointing his pulse rifle at him, The man put his pulse rifle down again and they continued to walk on, With Saysell offering the men fags, There was about four of them total.
Gaunt remembered Saysell and how he shot him when he was going to fight Voltage3000, That battle resulted in them all getting away with injurys, No one died that time but it could of gone anyway and someone could of died.
Gaunt decided to follow Saysell and his group and keep close eye on him.
He kept on the roof tops and followed, Hopeful that something interesting was going to happen and waiting for the right time to strike.

xeno_slayer, Human, 15 years ago

Slayer watched as the bridge filled up with yautja warriors. Darkpred, Xinyang, and a few others were among them but slayer did not know these predators well. His most loyal clan-members had opted to stay on board the ship for this mission. (Including his sub-leaders, Scarredshadow and Predalienking.)

"Fellow hunters." Slayer said, addressing the group. "The time has come to live up to our namesake. We will rain death upon the pitiful soldiers below us, and by the time the day is done, we shall be polishing the skulls of our enemies.

A compliant roar emanated from the crowd before him. Slayer turned to a control panel and brought up a holographic image.

"This is the area where we will be descending"

The image was of the human city.

"There is a forest close to this city where we will be landing. As soon as we arrive, cloak and spread out. Now there are a few more points I should bring up. For one, the soldiers have established a base of operations to the north of the city, it is extremely well fortified and attacking it would be suicide. The group known as Alpha Draconis have left the base to look for survivors in the city. They are our primary target for now."

He paused and brought up another image.

"Secondly, there is a camp of rouge yautja in the area as well. Stay out of their way, but kill them if they attack you."

He now brought up a third image, this went below the city to the sewer system where a xenomorph hive had taken root.

"My last point is this. A very sizable infestation. The dark meat are always our enemy. Hunt them down as you please, but avoid entering the hive."

It was time. Without a word, slayer took a deep breath and pointed in the direction of the drop pod bay. Slayer was the last to leave the bridge.

"Sir, one last thing before you go." The yautja who was at the controls seemed slightly agitated by something

"What is it?"

"Its balatu sir, their ship has turned around"

"So be it. We will fight alone."

The Hunter's Moon clanship had one flaw. It had to uncloak to send the drop pods down. So much energy was needed for a mass drop such as this, that the generators that powered the cloaking device could overheat.

So the night sky lit up.

From the WY basecamp, the hunter's moon ship suddenly became clearly visible in the sky. And it did exactly what slayer said it would do. It rained death upon the world below it. The drop pods streaked across the sky toward the forest, and landed with a resounding CRASH.

The hunt had begun.

---------------------------------------------------

OOC: I have a feeling I am the only hunter's moon member who is actually posting at the moment, so many of my clan will be NPCs. Feel free to write them into your posts however you want, but they ARE fully trained yautja warriors, so dont just kill them off like they're nothing.

Also, I may have gotten the direction of the base camp in relation to the city wrong, just correct me and I will edit.

-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

Hundreds of flocks of birds had suddenly found the will to fly the skies of the damned and escape this horrible hell hole, gliding onwards toward the destination of freedom, the goal of a peaceful life set in their tiny minds. There was a slight possibility that the prey wished for the same thing. But then, why do they keep coming back? Stupid fools. They don't learn from the past. That's great for us. The more the merrier.

A minute passed and the small team of humans had gathered outside, once again, radioing their comrades. The serpent of blue thought to itself, slowly setting its tail on the side of the edge of the rooftop. Just as I thought. You wish for even more of you to commit suicide. Another moment and it crawled down the side of the building, opposite to the humans. There's another one?

It rushed towards the other end where a different feeling approached.

Where are you?

Left to right, right to left, left to... there. A figure the serpent couldn't make out was coming near, and began heading around the same direction of the humans. It had a somewhat friendly presence. A xenomorph?

Unlike the four humans, Bloo didn't posess the need to attack the fifth. It looked human, but couldn't know for sure. Why wasn't that feeling of hostility there? It didn't know. For now, it would retreat.

Bloo hissed and rolled down a slope where the two buildings met and disappeared into the shadows, hopes of another tale of blood shed would soon be added to its collection. But although it could probably take the four one at a time, it was wiser to belittle his strengths and run back for nessecary back up. Greed was not about to be the death of this one.

On the rooftops, through the tunnels and beyond the sight of the four targets and unusual being was where it laid. Three manholes to the north and two to the south, not to mention the central building. All six locations had a common trait: all were entrances to a different kind of hell.

DeathWraith, Human, 15 years ago

Xeuss saw the shadow jump from wall to wall and past the cowardly marines as they passed him and was overwhelmed by a feeling of disgust twards everything human. Still hidden in darkness he decided their fate would not be a pleasent one.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING LEAVING YOUR POSTS LIKE THAT YOU IDIOTS, I COULD HAVE YOU SHOT FOR THIS!"

The four marines suddenly stopped and for a moment Xeuss thought they gonna pee their pants. His voice sounded nothing like a human voice, but apparently these specific marines were as stupid as they looked, because as they turned to face him one of them said:

"Sir, there are xenomorphs here, we were going to..." but was interrupted by a poke on the helmet from the guy closest to him.
"That's not one of our superiors, dumbass! What would one of them be doing way out here in the middle of the night?"

A screech came out of Xeuss' throat at that point. "Attack with me!" he said to whomever would hear him. He knew the xenomorph he'd seen could not have left for good.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" the first marine screamed and Xeuss had to duck as all four of them started emptying their weapons into the wall behind his head.

"You idiots almost shot me..."

"I-i'm sorry, i thought there was a xenomorph there..." was yet another phrase interrupted by a poke from the second marine. "Stop talking to him like that! Mister, i will have to ask you to come with us, this part of the city is not secure. If you will please step into the light and lay on the ground, we will immobilize you and take you to safety."

"Oh is that a fact...?" Xeuss' mocking voice said. "Alright... I will step into the light. Are you ready?"

Xeuss' knife flew the distance between the two and burried deep into the young marine's brain as the rest of them stared with their mouths open and their ammo depleted at the strange white haired, charcoal skinned person running straight at them.

-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

A friend in the form of a human? Could this be the human's own trickery, or was it a plan by the Queen that he was not informed of? He was to interrogate the Queen Mother and almost began turning the other direction when - BANG!

A gun shot... two gun shots... automatic fire. The humans were firing at the friendly presence? They must have been, they wouldn't surely fire at each other. It must have been a brother in human form. But why the form of a human? They were disgusting creatures inferior to even the dreaded Yautja.

In a split-second, the creature glanced around and saw sparks emitted from the direction of the central building. Now scurrying atop the rooftops, he noticed another presence. No... two. One was another xenomorph! But the other... an enemy. Another human? He wasn't sure. It was jumping across the rooftops and climbing down pipes, almost as if it weren't human.

"Sir! Motion sensor's detect a- gaaahh!"

The prey made a choking noise, followed by liquid spiling on the side of the building. There were two more of the original group of humans. Sliding down a ramp and jumping toward the unusual xenomorph, it gave off a high-pitched roar and cough. The last human attempted to contact the other humans. To Bloo's horror, it gave them the coordinates of the central building to a group of humans not out in the city. The xenomorph in human form was about ready to slice the foolish human's throat, but Bloo had jumped in front of the human and, lifting him by the neck, coughed acid onto his eyes.

A burning sensation overwhelmed the soldier and he began kicking and screaming, unable to fight any longer. After watching him suffer for another minute, the furious serpent stabbed his face with the end of its tail. He lifted the burned corpse up, now facing the mangled face with its own. His flesh was still burning, and that satisfied Bloo.

Now, he had many things on his crazed mind: Who was this xenomorph in human form? What was yet another xenomorph doing close by? And what was that enemy presence felt earlier? Slowly rising from the ground and now standing on its two hind legs, it cautiously turned towards the dark-skinned being and stuck its second jaw out.

TDN, Human, 15 years ago

As TDN sat in his shelter along with his squad, he began to worry about Kidd and his men. Kidd seemed too eager to find the survivors in this city, and doing that during the middle of the night and without a decent meal would be suicide. TDN decided to call Kidd again "Kidd, if you wish to continue to search for survivors then it's not my place to stop you. But I'm simply going to suggest that you might want to take a rest and call your squad back for the night. Find a good shelter and take rest. As much as I don't like that guy Malus, he was at least right about that. Going out in this situation is almost asking for trouble".

Still, he couldn't help but feel that this was his fault somehow. He had been too eager to go into the city, and Kidd had followed him. But his thoughts were interrupted by a signal from one of the marines "Someone, we need reinforcements! We have discovered the hive's location! It was...". He couldn't hear the rest, due to the fact that it had been cut short. "Damnit" he thought as he stood up "if any more dies I'll be the one reponsible". "Looks like I have no choice but to move out" he told himself as he began to call his squad together and prepare.

Calling on Malus once again he said "Malus, if you can hear me I'll repeat it once more time. These Xenomorphs are moving through the sewer tunnels. You can't rely on your motion detectors because their movements can't be sensed underground. Waiting until they surface would be too late. I suggest finding any entrance to the sewers near you prevent them from coming out. I'll be moving soon. Over and out".

And with that, TDN began to motion his squad to move to the location where the distress signal had originated. As they went, the bodies of his comrades could be seen sprawling on the floor, causing him to tense up, and his men felt the same. He became more angered, as his men were murdered and he had led them to their deaths. "This isn't a normal Alien attack. Something's different, these well-trained soldiers were comepletely caught off guard" he thought "and they had knife wounds on their bodies". As they got closer, TDN called over a third of his men and ordered them to split up. He had a plan, if his predictions were true. "Where was the location of the signal again?" he asked one of his men. "Only about a couple of meters more until we reach the loaction sir" the marine said.

As he got closer and closer, a figure standing in a pile of bodies became clearer. It was a human, a soldier, one with blood all over his body. "Something's not right about that man" he thought. One of his men came to the figure can asked "Hey, indentify yourself. Which squad are you from?". The figure responded "Ah, I was with these men when we were attacked. I was the one lucky enough to survive". TDN laughed. "You must be one amazing soldier to fight off all those aliens. They were all brutally murdered yet you don't even have a scratch on you? What did you think we were, a bunch of high school kids?". TDN turned to the Marine beside him and ordered "Shoot him!". The Marine was hesitant but knew he had to comply. But the man was quick to respond and jumped out of the way to dodge his shots.

"I knew you weren't what you seemed to be. In the middle of these pile of bodies, the one that doesn't have wounds can only be the one who caused these deaths" TDN said "and with those reflexes, you aren't a normal human are you?". With that he motioned his men to prepare their attack. He sensed something else was close to them as well. He knew what it was for he had fought many before, a Xenomorph. He became even more curious "What kind of creature is this" he tasked himself "it looks human and yet seems to be allied with the aliens?". TDN laughed again "truly a wolf in sheep's clothings" he said sarcastically. "This isn't going to be easy" he thought, and hoped that his plan would work.

FireHunter, Human, 15 years ago

FireHunter's thudding footsteps echoed as he strode down the valley and into the plains. the ruins of a decayed metropolis stood, crumbling, and gunfire echoed to his right. He stood up on a pile of dead bodies and rubble, and roared so loudly, the whole alien hive could probably hear it as it echoed down the valley. He climbed down from his perch and ran on all fours towards the lit up night sky. The drop pods rained down like a downpour of tears from the heavens.
Or hell itself.
FireHunter suddenly found himself more willing to move towards the screams and gunfire in the city, he changed course towards that.
Roughly two hours later he arrived, where he found Bloo, and a group of soldiers, as well as a strange man that he recognized as Xeuss. One soldier was starting to flee, only to be chased down by FireHunter, who charged at him out of the shadows, and knocked him down, he lifted the screaming man above his head and brought him down to the ground, winding the soldier for a few seconds, before he started howling and screaming as the creature tore off his leg and began to beat him with it.
The man was still alive as the nine-foot tall monstrosity destroyed him, it lifted him up again, and sank it's teeth into the man's neck.
The screaming ceased as the throat and tissue were pulled brutally from his neck, followed by a steady stream of glistening blood, the beast turned around and dropped the corpse, roaring in magnificent, animalistic fury at the remaining soldiers, and a call of aid for his fellow xenomorphs.

Peterson, Human, 15 years ago

Jumping off the the side of a rock Peterson landed in the crowd of Soldiers and tail whipped the closest Marine, knocking his weapon out of his hand Peterson jumped on top of the now defenseless marine and smashed the marines skull with His tail, Peterson found that he was very much enjoying this new power that had indulged him. Hissing to Fire hunter for assistance Peterson Attacked another Marine!

-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

He knew another xenomorph had entered the area. But two? In its native language of hisses and screeches Bloo spoke with its brothers. "Firehunter? Peterson? What the hell are you doing here?"

But before he could hear their responses, someone else... no... a group of people were coming. More humans? It thought to itself and remembered. Foolish human calling for back up. They'll just die with you.

Xeuss sat there with the group of corpses and simply waited for them to arrive. What was he doing? But of course. He is wearing the skin of a human. He should be a friend to them.

A short conversation took place, and to Bloo's surprise, the other humans had begun shooting at Xeuss. Was he going crazy in the head? Was this xenomorph a human in his mind only? None of this was making any sense. They spoke again, and now Bloo could sense hostility in their voices. Tension was rising. Bloo hid atop a nearby dumpster and attempted to locate Firehunter. Where was this, one of the leaders of the hive, going? And Peterson, another leader? Each alpha male with their own agenda and Bloo was stuck here to witness either the death of this strange xenomorph or the murder of human group.

What was going to happen? One thing was for sure. Someone was going to die.

FireHunter grabbed the marine that Peterson was attacking and pulled the screaming marine in half, blood and innards spilling on the ground in a glistening, jiggling heap. FireHunter turned around, bellowing at the same time, Xeuss was under attack and FireHunter was going to stop it, he picked up a derelict car door and hurled it at the attacking marines. It struck one of them in the head, chopping it clean off, and yet another one was clipped on the arm, breaking it. FireHunter leaped into the battle, swiping at the hapless marines with an animalistic brutality that betrayed his intelligence. He got thirteen bullet wounds and a stab wound with the melted steel festering within it from the blade. FireHunter called for help from Bloo and Peterson.

Gaunt, Human, 15 years ago

Gaunt was on the roof tops, He was still following X_Saysell and his group but nothing interesting had happened yet, No open spaces where he could attack, No hostility towards each other.
They seemed to have thought this all out and weren't showing any weaknesses or openings.
Gaunt saw a small glimer of light coming from the sky, But then there were more glimers of light, It was then that he relised that these lights were Predator drop pods, They had finally come, Now the battle would get more intence with the Pred's involved.
He heard a sudden call, It was a call for backup, A call was being made by Firehunter.
At first he thought he should go and help but then remebered that Peterson was probably with Firehunter so he decided to leave Firehunter and Peterson with any other xeno's that responded to the call.
He wen't back to monitoring Saysell but still nothing interesting had happened.
He looked a head and saw something that finally interested him, There was a huge open area a head and Saysell and his group were walking right towards it.
Excited that he might now have a chance to fight he stuck to the roof tops and kept watch, Waiting for the right time to strike.

-Bloo-, Human, 15 years ago

Bloo looked up in surprise. A sonic boom? What could that mean? Have the humans called for air support? That would provide some trouble. But no, heaving scanned the skies, there was nothing. Nothing but an all-too familiar feeling in its stomach.

Groups of blurred boulders came rushing from the heavens, knocking the clouds beneath them to the side, each on fire. They were beautiful, like comets straying from orbit out of God's domain and into the firey depths of hell. With each moving second Bloo could feel the intesity rising. These comets weren't just anything, he was sure of it. They were an enemy. Yautja.

Of all times, why now?

He wasn't too far from the central building, and witnessing enough of Xeuss' situation Bloo decided to move in. But there was another disturbance. Something was calling out to it. Firehunter? Bloo stood up from his quadruped position and believed Peterson would be enough assistance for one of the leaders of the hive. Cold air began escaping from the beast's open mouth, allowing its second jaw to breathe, and warm liquid poured down from the bottom of its teeth.

It forced its large, grotesque body to stretch, becoming slightly larger than the usual member of its revolting species. The serpent's elongated head twisted, its tail slithering around the body to curl around its waist. The fight had just begun.

The more it crossed its mind, the more it worried. Would Firehunter and Peterson really be alright? How long had it been since Firehunter's call for help? They're both leaders. They can take care of it. Now go, prevent the humans from finding me. Bloo's conscious would always tell it the truth. Or, what it believed to be the truth.

With head held high and motives clear, the serpent of shadows rose out from the darkness and began its rush from the field of nothing and into the fray. It crossed the path where the two central buildings sloped to meet each other, leaping over the top of its roof and onto a nearby tree, one of the last ones standing in this deserted city.

Gun fire and blood shed ensued. "My kind of place," Bloo thought to itself.

TDN, Human, 15 years ago

As TDN stood in front of the hybrid, his men stood behind him, afraid of this new enemy that they had encountered. TDN was just as tense as they were, for he had never faced anything like this before. And with his men being picked off one by one by the hybrid's Xenomorph allies, the situation wasn't looking good for him. "All I need is to hold out, until those guys complete the plan" he thought "let's just hope they make it in time".

The hybrid made a sudden lunge towards one of his men, brandishing it knife. TDN aimed his pulse rifle, but it was quick to react, dodging the bullets. But as he looked again, he could see that he had hit the hybrid on the shoulder, and blood was seeping out from the wound. The scream of the marine made him turn his head. There he was, the one who was just attacked, blood smeared all over his face. He was in pain, and it looks as though his face was melting, almost similar to what he had seen from alien blood splatter. "So, looks like he also has their acidic blood" TDN thought "what other surprises lies waiting in that body of yours?".

The hybrid lunged again, this time aiming at him. TDN aimed but could not get a good shot as the creature was closing the distance fast. The hybrid took out its handgun, and with a shot it had wounded him in the left arm. Almost instantly, with its other arm it swiped at him with its knife, and only by his reflexes was he saved from an early death. Drops of blood began to fell from his throat. Had the cut been any deeper he would've been a goner. The creature aimed its gun at him again, but this time there was something that it did not expect. A shot rang out from an unknown location, hitting the hybrid right on the wrist where it had held its handgun. The gun dropped to the ground, asit looked at him in surprise. "What the hell?" it said.

TDN looked at it and grinned. Just at that moment, his men the he had sent away called him and said "Sir, we have completed what you ordered". "Good job" TDN told them. As the hybrid continued to look at him with a bewildered expression, TDN turn to it and said "Looks like you probably want an explanation on what's going on?". "The reason I had sent my men away was to do three things. The first, was that they were to find the nearest sewer entrances and drop grenades down. Of course we're far away from where the actual hive is but that doesn't matter. The beauty of the sewers is that it is almost completely quiet, and any small explosions can be heard from far away, and the echoes will probably have reached the Queen by now" TDN continued "The queen will sense that as a threat to her and the hive, and will call her drones back. It doesn't matter whether these drones heard it or not, all they need to hear is the calling of the queen and they all go running back".

"I've studied these creature's behaviours for years, and they've always been as predictable as ever" TDN continued "The second thing was that as soon as these Xenomorphs retreat to the Hive, my men are to follow those things to the sewers, but keeping a good distance and using their motion trackers to find out where the Hive is". TDN grinned and continued "And the final thing, was that the rest of them was to set up an ambush around this area. I had no idea what we were going to face out here, so I had them hidden behind walls and ruins. Right now that shot came from one of them. So unless you can see behind walls, you're going to be shot from where you least expect it".

"How does it feel to be the hunted now?" TDN asked the creature. "You're no longer facing a couple of rag-tag soldiers, but an army of well trained marines" TDN continued "One on one I doubt I would've been able to defeat you, but us pure humans have one thing you nor those aliens nor those predators have, our wits". TDN aimed the gun at the creature as the grinned "So what will it be, you monstrosity? You can be lucky and escape or you can die here. Because of what you've done to my comrades, you're not leaving here alive, and I'm not taking any prisoners".

Atin_Fordo, Human, 15 years ago

Carmine was on the last few bites of the plate when it happened. Something huge, something massive appeared out of nowhere, raining down entry pods as it did, which he could hardly make out from the distance he was at. But it was there, and so were they.

"Ahhh, fuck!" Carmine shouted at nobody in particular, but his yell probably resounded all around the camp. He scrambled over to his helmet, nearly knocking the plate off the barrier as he did so. He slammed the helmet down onto his head, not even bothering to do anything special. He activated the radio within a split second of putting the helmet on, and hit the Commander's frequency. Just as he did so, another one came crashing from the sky in a ball of flames and landed somewhere in the city. "Goddammit!"

He hesitated a moment, having been shocked at seeing all this. "Malus, large Predator ship to the South! It's dropping pods, huge amounts of them! Another one came out of the atmosphere and crashed somewhere in the city, too! He was shouting into the radio, a slight hint of panic in his voice. The fear was there now, if ever. So much to the point where he'd called Malus by his name, instead of his title. A bunch of Predators revealing their ships and dropping down to the Earth was not exactly something to clear one's mind.

"They're dropping toward the forest, and there's a shitload of 'em..." he said, then looked up toward the sky. He could still see some of them, but there was a constant crashing sound in the distance, a boom. It was actually making him shake. They were far out of range of the sentry turrets, though. "Make that ten shitloads. If we've got any artillery to use against that fucking mothership, we need to get it out here! Mortars, rocket launchers, anything, we just need it ready!" He was keeping a smoother tone to his voice now, he was getting a grip on himself again.

He had a freakout because he had not been expecting it, but now he was just really excited. He would have just pulled out his 'nade launcher and fired all six shots at it, but he was too far. So they'd miss. But he knew what he could do. He pulled out the launcher, and pulled the lever on it. He checked the types he had in there... Four standard, two mines. He jogged out past the perimeter, spinning the cylindrical clip so that the mines were the first things there.

He fired one of the mines off to the side of the path, into some of the trees. He knew the bastards liked the forest, the woods, the jungle, anything with high trees. Whatever they could use. So if they came through there, they'd meet a mine. He did the same off in the other direction. They wouldn't kill a Yautja, but there was no way in hell he was going to let one sneak up on him.

He opened up one of the pouches of his combat webbing, and pulled out two more of the same type. He pulled the lever again, letting the clip swing out. He replaced the two missing 'nades, and clicked it back in place again. He repeated the process he had done before, only firing a bit further out and to the side of where he had before. Meaning he had covered the sides of the entrance, for the most part.

As he reloaded again, he placed two Electromagnetic Pulse grenades in the slots this time, and moved back to the perimeter. He didn't like taking chances. Especially with an unknown amount of Yautja running around the place. That could be bad. Very bad. He jogged up near the sentry turrets that were on standby, and was considering hitting the switch. They had what they were waiting for, after all. He decided against it, though. Only if he saw something coming on foot.
