Deathdrop vs. Firehunter

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

You want to start or should I?

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

You can start, I'm horrible at starting. :)

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Alright, but this might take a little while...

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

I'm patient.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

King Smokey brushed his long hair out of his face and tried to ignore the desert’s heat as he took the crowbar to the box yet again. Most of the others were tripping, though Ruby and Moonbeam were straight so they could keep watch for cops or worse. It was normally hard to think of anything other than sex with those two beauties so close, but with what they’d stolen…

Well, it would be better if they didn’t get caught. “KS?” He didn’t bother to see if it was Ruby and Moonbeam, and didn’t particularly care. “KS, is that really a space alien in there?” He turned. “Yeah, sweetie, it’s a spaceman. He’s a part of heaven, but he was shot down.”
“But WHY?” Jesus fuck. When he’d started the Followers of the Morningstar, he’d assumed it would get him lots of free drugs and easy pussy. Listening to trailer trash all day hadn’t been part of the plan. Robbing that truck hadn’t been part of the plan either, but he’d been high, and had let Charlie talk him into it. Had he known it was an army truck, he would have ditched the rest of these fucking square-ass wannabe-hippies in Reno and hitchhiked home. As it stood, Charlie wanted the crate opened, and it was generally a good idea to do what Charlie asked.

“ Nixon doesn’t want us to ascend, baby girl. This spaceman, he just wants to go home, see?”
Then there was a cracking sound, and everyone jumped. The lid had finally come off. King Smokey (though his death certificate would read “Albert Edwards”) would have had no way of knowing that the alien inside had no interest in joining an intergalactic brotherhood. He couldn’t have known it was a parasitic creature that would violently attach itself to his face and implant an embryo in his chest. He couldn’t have guessed that the embryo would rip it’s way through his chest less than 12 hours later. The funny thing is that it all could have been avoided if he had taken that hit of LSD on Tuesday and stayed inside. If he’d stayed in, he never would have gone to rob the unattended truck, and the Desert Massacre of 74’ would have never happened.

But he didn’t, and they did, and it happened. Here’s how…

Deathdrop's pod slammed into the sandblasted earth, shaking the warrior within badly. The door hissed as it slowly came open, and something invisible stepped out. Behind the faint shimmer, a reptillian voice growled "I smell apes."

Unsheathing his wristblades, he began his trek across the desert.

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

(FireHunter's a Predalien, but I'll make something up to explain it, or we could both edit our posts because I've got a good post here haha)
FireHunter leaped from the crate into the long-haired human before him. Some of the other humans screamed and ran while others leaned in, wondering whether to inspect the creature or not.

The human's drugged-up system scrambled everything, FireHunter's egg would come out pretty messed up, or a completely different alien species to what it was meant to.

The humans ran as the law enforcement arrived, and the police bent down to look at the strange creature hooked onto the man's face.
"Probably just a mask" one of them said, before trying to pull the horrid creature off the man's face.
FireHunter's tail tightened on the man's neck, all of the men surrounding it jumped back in alarm.

Soon FireHunter and his host were taken to the police station, and laid upon a surgical table, the men were trying to remove the creature when one of them cut it's leg.
Acid sprayed onto his face, which burned away and left the man screaming on the floor, all of the surrounding men ran to his aid.
"Just leave it, there's no way we could remove that fucking thing, and somebody call an ambulance!" one of them yelled, frustrated and shaken.
They all returned to their usual posts, casting scared and worried glances at the strange creature latched upon the face of the unidentified man.

Eleven hours passed, the man on watch in the police station was tired, his shift ended in an hour, and barely anything had happened.
There was a terrifying crack from the room where that strange creature attached to that man was.

The guard slowly crept into the room and slowly opened the door, it was so dark, he flicked the light on.

The man was sitting up, panting, the little creature was across the room, he had obviously thrown it across the room.

"I...I'm sorry sir, but you're under arrest" the guard stammered, the long-haired man turned and said one word before raising his arms, knowing he had no hope in this.

"Fuck" he exclaimed, before the guard put him in a cell.

About ten minutes later the guard was searching through the corridor, as he shined the light into Albert Edwards' cell, he nearly threw up.

Something had eaten the man's whole arm in less than ten minutes, and as he shone the light into the corner. The guard threw up in sheer terror, there was a huge cocoon in the corner, standing as tall as the ceiling(which was about seven feet tall) and about a meter wide.

The guard fainted, he was a rookie, and this was definitely not in his pay-roll.
He woke up about an hour later, his light was busted an the next guard on duty was over him, shaking him awake.
"Wake up, man, wake up!" he was screaming at him, the dark silhouettes of the prisoners loomed about them, peering from their cells.
"Nothing to see here, go back to bed!" the guard yelled, the prisoners grunted and fell back asleep almost instantly.
The guard who was on his back saw a terrible arm stretch from the darkness and grab the other guard, who flew into the bars and was sucked through.

The noises of squelching filled the air as the monster behind the bars tore him apart.
Then the most terrifying thing happened, those monstrous alien hands bent the bars out of shape, and tore them out of their emplacements.
The monster stepped through, it was crouching, it must have been about 10 feet in height, the last thing the guard saw was a massive foot come down.

FireHunter surveyed it's surroundings, and saw many humans, all locked up.
It broke the bars to the cage opposite it, and devoured the human within, it broke through the walls and killed almost every prisoner in the building, which in itself was small. all the while it crouched, unable to stand, it was a predalien, despite having come from a human, the drugs in it's host's system messed up it's growth.

FireHunter left one human, whimpering and scared, in the building.
This human had a predator wrist-comp upon his wrist.

FireHunter soon burst into the open, stretching as it could finally stand it's full height, it jumped onto the street, looking about it warily.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

The police had seen fit to post only 1 guard of 3 in rotating shifts at the campsite, which had been helpfully sectioned off with police tape, as if the human stains weren't enough to label the place a crime scene.

Sgt. David Cummings was supposed to have been attending his daughter's 8th birthday party. He played that in his mind over and over again, looking over his shoulder at the long trail of red leading away from the crate (visible despite the darkness).

Instead of watching Jenny opening presents, he got to see a bunch of stupid kids cut up like fish. He'd even seen one of the rookies slip on the guts of one of the victims, which had pissed him off.

It had pissed him off so much that he didn't notice the ghostly shimmer moving past him.

Deathdrop switched vision modes and scanned the area. There was no sign of the thieving human, but the signal from the stolen wristcomp was slightly stronger.

Then he caught the scent of something troubling. Switching vision modes once again, the Yautja noticed a faint trail of green dots. Inspecting the ground, he saw that they stopped at panicked human footprints.

Xenomorphs... It couldn't be a coincidence. Whichever human had stolen his brother's equipment had by Cetanu-knew-what means gained access to Xenomorphs and learned the hard way that they were uncontrollable.

Moving towards the road, Deathdrop waited for one of the human transport vehicles to come roaring by so he could take a ride into the settlement, where the signal was strongest.

The thief would suffer, and if the road to vengeance meant going through a Xenomorph, so be it...

(Basically, one of the humans who was in the cult stole tech off a dead Predator, and my Character is here to get it back. He'll presumbably be in the jail you're trashing, but try not to kill him yet. He might make this interesting.)

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

(just so you know, I edited my last post so that I left the thief alive)

FireHunter's massive head swiveled as the roar of an engine and the screech of wheels as a car came sailing towards him, it was small.
FireHunter's massive foot lifted and came crashing down on the bonnet of the car, which flipped over FireHunter's head and into it's mighty two-handed grip.
With both hands he threw the car and it's screaming passengers down the road and into a truck, which rolled on impact and exploded.

FireHunter stomped down the road and turned again as a series of police cars sped towards it, and it could smell faintly the sweet scent of predator with them.

Before the first one stopped, FireHunter disappeared into an alleyway.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

As the 18-wheeler slowed to let the swarm of screaming police cars through, a transparent shape hopped off the roof and onto the side of the road, where it would be less conspicuous.

There wasn't much in the way of cover, so he decided to get to high ground. In any case, the Yatja decided to follow the flashing human vehicles to their destination.

There was a large sign nearby, perhaps a human religious symbol of some sort.

Deathdrop had visited Earth enough times to pick up bits and pieces of various human languages. Perhaps the sign would yield some clues.

"Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada"

Whatever THAT meant...

(I'm moving toward your spot in the alleys)

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter glared out from it's alleyway, observing the road, it was pitch black in the alley, and when a human male dragging a screaming female entered the alley.
All hell broke loose, the man tore at the female's garments as she fell to the ground, and FireHunter leaped from the shadows.
The man, turning suddenly, pulled a gun from his coat, and fired at the gargantuan monster before him, his panic caused him to miss. A massive alien hand grabbed him by the throat. The gun clattered to the ground as the feeble man was lifted about 4 feet in the air, his eyes met the reflective dome of the huge predalien.

A violently powerful inner jaw sprung from the massive cavern that was FireHunter's mouth, and splattered the human's head spectacularly.
The crying female was lifted up next and a fiendish grin spread upon FireHunter's face, it's mighty jaws opened and returned her screams of terror with a roar that caused dust to fall from the walls of the alley.
The female human was ripped apart vertically, innards spilling out with a series of horrible squelches.

FireHunter sank back to the shadows, and began to haul itself up the walls of the alley.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

*A few hours later...*

Deathdrop was perched like a gargoyle on the edge of the roof. His mask was set to thermal mode, turning the tiny humans below into morphing blobs of red and blue gel.

The Yautja had followed the flashing vehicles to this particular alleyway as he had several others, and his findings were the same: several unarmed humans had been mutilated.

The vision mode and the height made it difficult to see, so he zoomed in. As with the other massacres, the bodies were torn apart by hand with a single circular wound in the forehead; it was a classic xenomorph attack.

When he'd seen the first of the bodies, he's assumed the thief was responsible, but now it was clear that the Xenomoph had survived.

That the creature had killed it's prey rather than attempt to take hosts was oddly reassuring; it meant there was only one. No Queen, no hive, no chance of spreading.

Still, a lone Xenomorph was often said to more dangerous than a pack. Their survival instincts were intensified ridiculously when they were alone, making them that much harder to kill.

Once the humans below had collected the remains, Deathdrop dropped down lower to investigate. He landed, and began searching for signs of

He had forgotten the one rule his Father had beaten into his head every day since he was born: "If there are Xenomorphs involved, SCAN EVERYTHING."

Had he bothered to switch to Xenovision, he would have seen the green-highlighted prints of a xenomorph up and down the walls of the alley.

But he didn't, and failed to notice the Predalien watching him from the shadows...

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter looked down from it's shadowed position on the wall to see a predator, alone, standing in the alleyway. The predator's helmet was staring right in FireHunter's general direction, who, in it's own fiendish delight, grinned it's terrible grin and jumped down from the wall.

FireHunter landed directly in front of the yautja, cracking the pavement and shaking the walls so more dust fell lazily from the dark brick walls.
FireHunter's colossal paw swung mightily and struck the yautja in the chest, a loud thud bruised the air as the formidable yautja was sent backwards into the side of a truck, which rolled on impact.

FireHunter, the terrible, mighty predalien, leaped from the alleyway and landed upon a limousine that was stopped in it's tracks by a red light and the chaos in front of it. The limousine crumpled underneath the enormous weight of the monster on top of it, the driver rolled out and screamed in terror at the beast perched upon his limousine.

FireHunter's tail flicked angrily and decapitated the screaming human, who fell to his knees limply before falling backwards. FireHunter bellowed and jumped off of the limousine, which rolled backwards as the weight of the mighty xenomorph kicked off of it. FireHunter tore the truck open to see Deathdrop at the other side of the truck, FireHunter must have seemed very formidable, being ten feet tall and bulging obscenely with muscle, while staring coldly through the large hole in the side of a truck's carriage.
FireHunter growled in amusement.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Stepping out from the torn metal (and switching to xenovision) Deathdrop unsheathed his wristblades and roared.

The beast was large even by predalien standards; when it charged, the vehicles around them shook. Deathdrop just barely rolled out of the way, and was only able to do so because the xenomorph's large size slowed it down slightly.

He looked around at the fleeing humans all around them, realising too late that he was uncloaked. Shit!

As the thought hit him, the predalien was charging again. This fight could not happen here with all these witnesses. He swung his writblades as the creature charged again, drawing blood, but not noticing the tail until it had knocked him against another car.

Hearing it approaching behind him, he jumped on top of the car and began running across the vehicles. He had to lead the predalien away from such a visible area...

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter charged through the cars, sending them rolling before it's considerable might, it took a massive leap and landed right behind the yautja, who was running considerably fast.
FireHunter's huge paw swiped and would have missed had it not been for the plasmacaster on Deathdrop's back, FireHunter's claw hooked onto it and sent Deathdrop soaring about thirty feet to the left, his plasmacaster was left hanging uselessly in FireHunter's monstrous grip.

FireHunter barreled forward, throwing the plasmacaster to the side with a thunk, it made another mighty jump and cleared the distance between it and the yautja.
FireHunter's massive foot came crashing down where Deathdrop was just after he had rolled, the pavement split.

FireHunter's massive head swiveled quickly, searching for Deathdrop intently.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Leaping through the air, Deathdrop brought his wristblades down on Firehunter, creating a deep gash in the beast's back. Removing them as the Xenomorph turned, he swung them again, this time damaging it's stomach.

Roaring with anger, Firehunter's claw suddenly attatched itself to Deathdrop's face. Using it's free hand, the predalien swung with all the power it had, knocking the Yautja several meters through the air.

As their battle neared one of the numerous casinos, an old hippie van swerved through the crashed vehicles and came to a halt. Charlie stepped out.

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter screeched in pain as the blades went through it's exoskeleton, it tossed that infernal yautja through the air and followed it towards a casino.

When the human vehicle stopped and a strange-looking human stepped out, FireHunter made a lunge at Deathdrop, a monstrous swipe made a whoosh as Deathdrop was sent to the ground again.

Ignoring the human behind it, FireHunter's massive foot came slowly down on Deathdrop, who impaled it's foot with his wristblades before rolling out of the way of FireHunter's colossal foot. Which came down to the ground about half a second after Deathdrop got himself out of it's way, the pavement cracked under it's clawed foot.

Meanwhile, FireHunter's tail had made a huge dent in that van, which had flipped it onto it's side.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Ok, my computer's been down, but I've got a temporary replacement, so I'll have my next post up tonight. Sorry for the wait.

EDIT: Here it is...

Ripping through the doors like paper, the two monsters fell into the grotesque, circus-themed casino. The humans ran screaming as they tore into each other.

Deathdrop somehow managed to free himself from Firehunter's grasp, only to meet the end of it's tail. He went flying through the crowd, hitting a slots machine.

And another.

And another.

And another, until he finally opened his eyes to the coins falling all over his mask. Gripping the machine, Deathdrop began to pull. It was bolted to the floor, but not to the point where a Yautja couldn't move it.

Thinking him injured, the Xenomorph lept at him, and met the end of the machine. Coins flew everywhere as Deathdrop threw the ruined machine aside and adjusted his vision for the pink lights of the casino. How in the 7 Hells was there a PREDALIEN running around?! He shook the question out of his mind, knowing the creature would not stay down long, whatever it's origin...

Meanwhile, Charlie made his way through the crowd of running people, alien weapon in hand. Obtaining enlightenment would not be easy, but it WAS possible for a freed mind such as his. He had only to drink the blood of the Gods.

Finding the spacemen was easy enough; they were too busy fighting each other to pay attention to his approach. Smiling, he reached into his bag and brought out the disk-shaped weapon he'd taken off the first God he'd encountered.

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter reeled from the heavy machine that hit it on the head, then tore another from the ground and hurled the machine at it's foe. The projectile struck, bowling Deathdrop over, FireHunter leaped again, landing in front of it's downed foe, it threw the slot machine to the side, where it exploded from the wall and into the streets.

FireHunter roared so loudly that the remaining glass in the casino rattled and shattered from the sympathetic vibrations of it's massive vocal cords.
FireHunter picked Deathdrop up, it's massive talons curling viciously around Deathdrop's neck, FireHunter squeezed and felt several ribs give under the extreme pressure.
FireHunter hurled Deathdrop into more casino machines, and only just noticed the one lone human with a predator weapon out of the corner of it's vision. FireHunter turned, it's back spines bristled violently and it hissed before jumping mightily and landing terribly before the human. FireHunter towered over Charlie, and was shocked when it's upper right mandible was severed by the disc-shaped object that was in the human's hand only moments ago.

FireHunter's blood spewed onto the ground, melting through the concrete and anything unlucky enough to be between the ground and FireHunter's massive head.
FireHunter swiped angrily at the human, and was again surprised as the disc embedded itself into it's back as the strike missed. FireHunter whirled around to face the non-existent attacker behind it, and it's tail smacked into Charlie's legs and knocked him over.
FireHunter turned again to face Charlie, it's massive foot raised, ready to splatter Charlie beneath it.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Sorry for the wait. I'll have it up by tomorrow night.

EDIT:

Deathdrop tackled the xenomorph with enough force to knock it down. HE would have the honor of killing this thief, not this parasite...

Colliding with several more slot machines, the two beast wrestled around on the ground for a bit before Deathdrop was thrown off. Rising for the kill, Firehunter paused for a moment. Deathdrop realised the creature was watching something behind him, and whipped around to meet a smart-disk to the chest.

Thanks to the weakness of the human arm, the attack was not fatal. It was, however, extremely damaging. The yautja's blood dripped everywhere.

As he got up, he was treated to the sight of the thief running away, slurping up some of his blood into it's disgusting round mouth hole.

Just as he was about to give chase, the Yautja was casually swatted aside by the Predalien, slamming into yet more of the accursed spinning devices.

Barely able to see through his damaged mask, the next thing he expected was the secondary jaw of the Predalien to cave in his skull. Chipping away at the damaged glass of his visor, he instead saw the monster following the thief to the next floor. Apparently, the creature had found more interesting prey.

AN APE, considered more challenging prey than A YAUTJA?!

This would not stand...

***

Charlie drank back the green fluid, tasting it's metallic burn as it dripped down his throat. Alien weapon in hand, he quickly climbed the steps to the next floor of the casino as the larger monster behind him gave chase.

Ducking under a table, he awaited the spacemen...

FireHunter, Yautja, 14 years ago

FireHunter came leaping up the stairs, which bent and groaned under it's enormous weight, and into the room where the human was hiding, it knew where the human was, as his pheromones stood out like blood on a white surface.
FireHunter lifted the table underneath which Charlie was hiding, and hurled the table aside before being struck in the leg with another disc-shaped object, which must have been removed from it's own back somehow.

FireHunter's leg twitched supernaturally fast and struck the human in the face. Charlie was sent sprawling on his back, before being lifted up and thrown down the flight of stairs, there was a glorious sound of an arm snapping.

FireHunter jumped down the stairs, which collapsed under it's weight, taken by surprise, FireHunter roared and landed on it's front. Getting itself up from the ground, FireHunter grasped onto the mighty metal pole that used to be the railing of the stairway, and pulled it up.

Charlie was breathing heavily, his left arm was dangling by only a bit of flesh and his legs were trapped beneath a heavy metal bar.

FireHunter was advancing with the railing in hand, when it was suddenly knocked over by a blast from a police car coming through the wall and hitting it.
FireHunter's quick recovery saw three humans advancing on it with puny weapons, a blaring light was bright behind them.

FireHunter swung it's weapon and instantly a half of one human was sailing across the room and the others opened fire on it. FireHunter was very annoyed by this, and hurled the metal pole like a javelin, impaling a second human. The guns they were using stung, and the last human was destroyed with his own vehicle, as FireHunter grabbed it and swung it at the human, who was crushed.

FireHunter turned back to Charlie.

Deathdrop, Yautja, 14 years ago

Deathdrop leaped through the smoke, maskless and roaring. He jumped on Firehunter's back, through his arm around it's neck, and began using his free hand to stab the beast with his wristblades. He was swung off within seconds, landing on the police vehicle.

Looking the shocked humans in the eye, Deathdrop was amazed at their freakish round heads.

"UGLY MOTHERFUCK-" he saw the xenomorph's tail swinging at him in the windsheild, and was just barely able to roll out of the way. The beast grabbed Deathdrop's leg and hurled him away as it tore at the softer humans.

Deathdrop, AGAIN insulted by the xenomorph, suddenly felt a knife driven into hsi back. The theif!

Swinging around and blocking the bastard's next attack (which was with a smart-disk), he got an idea...

Firehunter never saw the flying human until it hit him.
