They were featured in 'Aliens'

Alien only had one weapon really, that was the flame thrower. (The cattle prod sucked really so i don't choose to count it)

It's not that Alien is dated.

Its dated in my opinion because of the technological hardware used in the movie, with full understanding it was made almost 30 years ago. Not that I'm taking away credit from the fine psychological thriller/horror film, but such is life, and such is a film of that time.

Cattle prod eh? should we include cattle prods as RPG weapons? XD

Well, of course it's a little dated by technology used in the making of the movie. But when watching the final movie I see no real problem with it, or anything weird.

In my opinion the most dated movies are often the scariest. Back then the people didnt have much to work with, so when they used something it was real looking from scratch, now with all the CGI today alot of things looks so fake its not even scary.

That is what made Alien great to me, no fake aliens, just a guy in a suit making REAL moves.
