Ok - we can open this up for discussion now.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the outcomes here. Seems AVP is well and truly despised by most, and frequently put to the back of peoples' lists.

I'm also surprised that alot of you put Alien so far down on your lists - is this because the film is quite dated to some of you younger members?

Basically, i wanted to do this to get a feel of where you'd rank AVP over all, and, my assumptions were right. That said, it leads me to this question - If you all view AVP as one of, if not The worst of both franchises, what makes you have so much more faith in the up coming AVP sequel?

Feel free to discuss this and why you put certain films above others.....

In my case this was because it was slightly dated. It is a good thriller, but watching it more, I see that the film is actually shorter than I remember as a youngster, and find it a bit odd the Xeno acts unusual in the last scene with Ripley when it finds itself discovered yet stays in hidden position for longer than expected. In contrast, that very action adds to the aura of this film because it mimics true animals to some extent. There is a narrow gap between my first five choices while the margin widens for the last two.
