AVP2 Online - Patch help

I've been out of the loop...like for a really long time. I downloaded the savior mod and it said the update would appear to do nothing, and not to touch anything. I get a prompt after downloading to update, I click..a window with the AVP2 logo and background opens up with "BUTTON 2" and when I click I get I/O error 123. There's a good chance I'm retarded, or something's not working. :D

it could be tht somethings not working but thts just my idea on what could be wrong

heres a idea, start from scratch and deleted all the custom downloads you've just recently made. Once you've done that, download the full 1.5 installer which will supply you with all the downloadable content you'll need to play online.. I'd also recommend deleting the game from your hard drive, then re-install it, do this after you've deleted all the custom download files..

I haven't been on this site since the new game came out but, why is there like no topics about it and why doesn't like everyone play it instead? I have it for 360 and there is never more than 20 people online.

There are alot of guys here playing it obviously but indd we do not talk about our in-game adventures alot.

Perhaps you can start this thread and see what it becomes.
I'm waiting for ACM though since that gives me more the feel of the fear & the aliens

Okay its really really easy to fix AVP2 so you can play multiplayer again.


STEP 1: Have AVP2 installed on your computer, either be like me and actually own the game or I'm sure you can find free downloads of AVP2 on the web.


STEP 2: Now you need to update the AVP2 game to verison 1.0.9.6 You can do this by copying and pasting this link into your browser and downloading the update patch. Then just run the install program.

STEP 3: Copy and paste this link into your browser, then download the file that pops up. This Zip file contains the Master server saver patch, unzip it and install it.

STEP 4: Restart your computer after installing both updates.


STEP 5: Run the AVP2. Once the main screen loads click 'Multiplayer Internet' the screen will change and it will saying about checking for updates. A box will appear saying that the game has found and update and it will give you the option to click 'OK' or click 'CANCEL'.

CLICK CANCEL



STEP 6: Now click 'Find Internet Games' screen will change and display a list of running servers (after a few seconds of loading) Click on any one of the servers and get ready to game!
