Why where Crossovers Banned

Cross-overs

-All talk of cross-overs is strictly banned. Cross-overs are anything that doesn't relate to Alien, Predator, or Alien vs. Predator being brought into the subject, eg. "Batman vs. Predator". Any topics concearning cross-overs will be deleted, & will be counted as spam.

Why where crossovers banned? I understand the potential for it to escalate into name calling contests but if it is kept civil I'm sure they could be kept reasonable. We have a great set of mods and I am certain that they could keep the few punks in line.
the Ones I can think of sound really cool, like The marines from Halo vs Colonial Marines, or a Predator Hunting the creatures from star wars (I realize Pred vs Jedi is stupid and wrong I was talking about Rancors and Wampas and maybe those stupid gungans) or aliens vs zerg. Predators could fight bigfoot, t-rexes, those crazy creatures from oddworld. The alien would totally mess up the Protoss, or the Imperials, I wonder How the Imperium of Man would handle them. The colonial Marines could totally own the covenant(Halo), the combine or xen from Half-life. The Helghast, the Furons, Cyberdyne, the Strogg, Skarrj, the CIS, or the Arachnids from Starship Troopers(the 1st movie not the book or the crappy sequel) would totally make for some awesome threads.
But then again those other things do have there own rabid fans and that could bring a lot of trouble, so I guess I understand why they were banned, so could any one help me out here?

Yeah thanks, I can understand how that can get out of hand, If it were ever reallowed, I meant for the crossovers only contain one non Alien-Pred-Marine subject at a time and even then just a factual discussion for the fun of it, and try to keep pride out of it. Like Star wars imperials vs alien or Pred and marines versus Covenant, not any conflagration like the one you mentioned. Thank you for your comments.

P.S. Also the focus would have to be on the Alien-Pred-Marine Rather than the other thing (in reference to ScarredYautja12's post below)

Yeah, it ended up being some predator vs batman vs hulk vs alien vs spiderman vs tarzan, pretty much everything what hollywood have ever come up with. Your suggestments sounded kinda good to me, but in the end most of cross overs would be just ridiculous.

This is what I think that Cross-overs were banned after it was unbanned. It's because the majority of the members here were upset for the fact that a person may jump in and start a ridiculous cross-over, like the one that Polish listed. Really, unbanning the cross-overs wasn't much of a major blow, but many of the members didn't accept it. That is why the MODs banned it again.

well im guessing since this site is 4 alien and predator topics ones that dont have to do with them are locked because many people on the site want to hear about the upcoming movies instead of like batman or something like that
