did the creators of predator 2 get the idea for the skulls from the alien movies or did the creators of the alien movies get the aliens head shape from the skulls in predator 2.

I believe it was Stan Winston's idea to add the Warrior Alien skull from Aliens (Which he designed) in the trophie room of the Clan Scout Ship of Predator2.

Aliens was made before either of the Predator movies.

As far as the skull in the predator ship goes, it was added by Stan Winston as a reference to the AVP comics that had started the year before Predator 2 was released.
