You notice that the movies are in certain times. Like Predator and Predator 2 in the past while AVP are in the Present and the Alien Quadrilogy in the future.

PREDATOR - 1987
PREDATOR 2 - 1997
Alien Vs. Predator - 2004
ALIEN - Year needed.
Aliens - Year needed.
Alien 3 - Year needed.
Alien: Resurrection - I'm sorry, but year needed.
Alien 5 - Presumed to be after Alien Resurrection, but is possible that Anderson will go with the much influenced "dream" idea, in which Ripley dreams of Alien 3 and Resurrection happening. But doing so is kind of impossible unless you get someone else to play Newt.
Predator 3 - Unknown.
