i gest wached aliens and saw the qeen and the avp qeen looked huge to this qeen is it true?

no they used some parts. but a lot of the other parts were in bad shape so they had to build new ones.

actualy she was made frome parts of the old queen. so thier almost the same size.

that queen was awesome but when i saw it chasing lex through the whale bones it reminded me of jurassic park when the t rex is chasing the car and all.

These comments were taken from the Creature effects of ADI book on AVP.
The queen alien mold was taken back from Harry Hillis for the scenes used in alien Resurrection, It was completely battered and falling to pieces so they had to work on fixing the original mold so that it could be used in the movie (Resurrection)

you're thinking of the queen in alien resurrection. The queen in AVP was totally re-structured.

Again, that was for the queen in resurrection. I've just this minute finshed watching behind the scenes of AVP and they completely re-structured the queen from scratch. They wanted a different look, with the new anamatronic technology they were able to make the queen more slim line and didn't have the need to put two guys inside of her structure to operate the arms this time around.

Not all aliens will be the same, like us they differ in size and shape. A change of designer saw the queen go through several small changes, not only is she taller this time round but she's also slimmer (the queen in aliens had two men inside of it, operating the arms, in AVP, the queen is 100% anamatronic, with no humans lurking inside)
