I am making an alternate version of AvP2 because I felt the original script I wrote wasn't original enough.
Now, on the topic of originality I was thinking of adding in a new species. I was also inspired by the topics of a King Alien, do you think there should be one?

Belive me I'm going to add in the King Alien no matter what. The thought behind this being that this Queen in the movie is actually the Emperess of the whole species, so she needs more than just drones to protect her, which is where the King Alien comes in. Or perhaps it'll just be a Royal Guard Alien or something, I haven't decided yet.
I honestly think it's time to add something new to the franchise.

EJJR has a point though, each alien movie brought something new to the species (queen, dog-alien, newborn, predalien). Who is to say where it stops. as long as you still follow the rules that have already been set down, such as the aliens' ability to take on features of its host, the possibilities are endless. It is important to keep what makes it great, but I think it would be cool to see something new that still keeps to the rules.

dont put some new form of alien life cicle.
but you have to you could have an animal be the host like a pather that was sent on a wrong shipment or a pred-queen or rivel hives. or a geneticly modified face hugger that makes the host give burth to some wierd alien that escapes and kills some people.
i'd stick with the nomal aliens just make em a more mysterous unkown creature it makes them scaryererer like in aliens unlike the game

I leave that to the creative director in the art room.
I will add a new species since it seems to be the way to go at this time. In Aliens we saw the emergence of the Queen, a new creature, in AvP2 the game we see the Predalien and Praetorian, now in AvP2 THE MOVIE, we see the King Alien to protect the Emperess.

I'm not suggesting a new breed, in fact, I greatly discourage such train of thought. Yet it's not my script and thus I have no direct say on what should be edited. Ideas are ideas, if he wants them then that's what we're here for. Even though the mere thought of an AvP sequel makes me want to hack a lung I'm not discouraging him from taking his chances with the idea.

I agree with this, maybe it should be like the first alien experimentation of the weyland corporation after finding some alien remains in antartica or the alien queen frozen in the water. that would be cool i think. i also deff. wanna see the predalien play a big role in the sequel as well. like the grid alien on steroids.

As for the script, I'd strongly suggest not adding a new species (beyond the predalien) or else it'll just distract from the original idea, ditto with the King Alien. Yet again, if you really want to toy around with the King Alien idea, let it be some sort of artificial genetic mixup, humans are good at those (ex: Newborn, Ressurrection).
