True enough but when you consider what the alien has for skin then you begin to realise with the force the predator was spinning the alien combined with it's chitinous exo-skeleton, that stone is gonna crumble under the pressure.

dont know but the net in AVP seemed thicker like rope and took more time to get to his skin were as in pred 2 it seemed more wire like and sank in on target

Zenomorphs can withstand small arms fire from standard issue pistols, i doubt stone is going to mark them.
