Why does everything have to be turned into a big CGI-fest?

It was a perfectly self-contained little story that was great for kids, and now it's a movie, making kids even less inclined to read the book. Great job, hollywood.

Though I have to admit, Tony Soprano doing the voice of a big friendly furry thing is really funny.

EDIT: Anyone hear Rammstein's new song "pussy?" These guys were really good not long ago; what the hell happened?
