When i was a kid i had night terrors about that kind of thing. Being sealed in a metal chamber or alone in space, But i don't think that would be very effective torture.

Personally, people have asked me about torture before because I seemed pretty good at it in roleplays and such. If you have no qualms about it, you could eat someone slowly in front of them, cut little slivers off over time and then eat it in front of them. But the best form of torture, is to not actually physically torture them. For example, torturing a loved one is one of the best ways to truly torture someone as they are forced to watch and are powerless to save the other.

Personally though, physical torture is more interesting especially when you have time to prep for it. Like opening someones skull and messing around with their ocular cords, putting a small amount of weak acid in their bloodstream(or anything else that would cause pain), forcing them to watch as you dissect their genitals and other stuff along those lines. Though, what DeathWraith proposed is pretty fucking awful(in a good way in relation to the torturers point of view), though I suspect their mind would shut down from that eventually.

And no, I am not a cannibal torturer who chops up peoples jiggly wigglies for kicks.

My idea was not about torture, but about some sort of punishment that is more ¨capital¨ than death, if that makes sense.

Ah, that would definitely be one hell of a punishment and would discourage whatever that was the punishment for. I mean, if I knew that would happen to me if I did that one thing I wasn't supposed to do, there is no way in hell I'd even consider doing it.

You mentioned night terrors yes? Huh, mine were pretty bad when I was kid(I had them when I was about 3 to 5-years old). What was so creepy about them though is some of them came true but that's what makes it so creepy: the ones that came true always involved blood. Like I could get hurt(fall, someone stuck something in my chest, a monster scratched me or bit me) in the nightmare and I'd start bleeding but on several occasions when I woke up my nose would be bleeding. One other time I cut my foot open with a piece of plastic, another occasion I accidently cut myself during a bad fall. Then there was the two week period where we'd go past this building with a statute outside it near RCC(Riverside City College) to pick up my sister and I'd always say she was in the building. Even if she was in the car I kept saying she was on there. Until one day we went to pick my sister up from that same exact building, after she nearly sliced her left index off while working a meat slicer.

Now the scariest incident after one of these weird nightmares was when I was 3-years old or 4-years old, I woke up with a really bad fever and I felt sick. All I can remember is walking into the living room and laying on the sofa and barely being able to move afterwards. My mom knew I was sick because it was odd for me to be that sluggish, so she gave me a cup of water with ice in it. My sister was on her way tot he liquor store by our apartment for a pack of cigarette or it might have been apple vodka or some other fruit flavored liquor. She asked if she could get me a popsicle my mom said yes and when she got back I ate it. About 15 minutes after that I got up because I felt funny and I barely made it past the coffee table when I started throwing up, of course the puke was red due to the popsicle I ate. I threw up two more times and then threw up in the car twice after eating some crackers and then I threw up in the hospital. Turns out I was dehydrated and something else was wrong with me, I had an IV in my hand(and of course I bleed when they put it in). All of this is really vivid and since then I've only had two more weird nightmares that involved blood and they were both this year. Really weird but I'm trying to figure out what these nightmares mean, if they even have some kind of meaning.

Wow, I've had few of them. But they were really vivid. I can usually tell you where and when they happened. I don't like them, they give me a bad feeling.
