Just crossed my mind - anyone read the Aliens novel? In the scene where Bishop crawls through the ducts to get to the remote for the Dropship he encounters an alien - the warrior just stares at him, then continues on it's way. The aliens obviusly dont like the taste of synths...

Yeah that's pretty much the way the book made it sound, bishop should count himself lucky - well, for at least another 20 mins or so untill the small issue of the queen making her 'point' to him.
And yeah doc, all that sort of weirdness....

There's normally always one person who follows these type of posts saying stuff about mixing the synths with aliens to create super terminators or something like that, i've heard it before....*shakes head*

Well, for one - they cant use them as hosts, oh god, i just know someone is gonna say something about terminator and aliens now......

yeah like dave said they wouldn't be able to use them as hosts and if the chestbusters were to go thorugh there chests they would have been killed right because they are robots, right?

I'm guessing Aliens need organic hosts as they are organic creatures themselves. Synthetics are man-made and no matter how similar in organic structure they may be an Alien might be able to tell the difference. I can just imagine this wierd example: a facehugger trying to impregnate a synthetic would probably be similar to a facehugger trying to impregnate a laptop computer... I know, bad visuals. Lol.
