Is the AVP Elder an ancient Predator

I wonder if that ancient teenage hunter in the flashback is a younger version of the Elder at the end of AVP.

I wonder if the Elder Predators blooding mark on his head hints he is the same ancient Predator?

But really, there's no evidence to support or shun the idea. Maybe it is. It'd be a useless bit of information if given by an official source but it'd be interesting, I guess.
