If the predator fought the newborn, who would win?

Stalker was right in the post above mine, with the grim opinion

But it hardly showed the newborn do anything at all, nowhere near as a yautja in the movies and xenomorphs in the movies, it was on for little longer than 10 minutes and all i thought of it was trying to try and reliven a dying franchise.

I personally choose to ignore the "Newborn killed the queen" side of the story, as in my opinion, it wasn't really a fight in the first place. In my eyes, it's equivalent to a mother giving birth to her child, looking at it with love & compassion, & the child pulling out a knife & stabbing her in the heart. I know that may be something of a farfetched (not to mention grim) analogy, but it's the way I view the matter. The queen was cheapshotted, plain & simple.

A fight between the newborn & a predator could depend mostly on what weapons the pred was armed with. An unarmed predator would more than likely fall against the newborn, as it is much larger & stronger. The predator's speed & agility may provide an advantage though. If the predator was armed however, the newborn wouldn't stand a chance. It's slow, sluggish form wouldn't be able to dodge the predator's powerful attacks, & would more than likely end up impaled on the end of a combistick.

With no weapons, fine, the Newborn would kick the preds @ss. But even if the predator had only wristblades, it still has a chance. The Newborn was incredibly slow, so the pred could dodge most, if not all, the newborn's attacks. Now, most of you protest against this, but think about it.It almost never moved, and it's even when it swung it's arm, there was a lack of speed. Not to mention it doesn't seem too dangerous. We only saw the Newborn kill 2 or 3 creatures, and in every case it only killed them because it caught them by surprise and the only reason it ever caught anything by surprise was because it just happened to be at the right place at the right time. The Newborn may be smart, but that can't exactly be proven. It didn't do anything to prove if it was at all intelligent.In fact, it's almost proven it not smart. It just barged in and started to kill anything that it didn't think was it's mother. At least drones try to be stealthy before they made an all out attack.

THE new born waited till the queen was distracted before attacking (i think thats what we are talking about ) which in my book is bad and dishonest

The Yuatja would win even if the Newborn had the element of surpise cause as soon as the Newborn attacked the Yuatja would cloak itself... I don't think that Newborn could see a pred cause the Newborn has normal Human vision... So the aliens saw the preds even when cloaked with Pheramones....

Correction, the Newborn cheap-shotted the queen.

My money would be on the pred. Sure, the newborn may be physically powerful, but that alone couldn't stand up to the predator's weapons & combat training in my opinion.

What type of pred? where? what weapons?

The newborn killed the queen. and a queen could kill a pred depending on what type.

I can't believe someone's asking this. It's obvious the pred would win. Sure, the Newborn was strong, but it lacked key abilities. It was slow moving, and it didn't have a tail, duel jaw, or claws. the only reason it killed anyone was because it had the element of surprize.

The newborn isn`t weak! It is stronger than a predator physically (when wass the last time you saw a pred ripp off a queen`s head... well... the softer part... with only one slap?), but the predator would probably win with weapons. And the newborn would probably win if the pred would have only the wristblades, because being more intrlligent than a drone, the newborn may be able to learn different battle styles (not kung fu or other karate thingys, but how to stop a punch or a kick).
