Does aliens eat brains or why they attack to the head? How they increase their body substance so rapidly?

Royal jelly, i've heard this speculated about alot, depends on your flavour of things Rev, if you're a fan of the books and comics then the royal jelly adaption comes into play.
As for the Drone/warrior difference in Aliens - not sure if i've seen what you're describing, but yeah, if you wanna grab a screen cap, that's cool with me, actually, i think more people should try and get caps or better - link to a cap that can back up our statements. Might help us all put forward our opinions a little better.

although what of the royal queen jelly?
or does that only apply to the queens gaurd (Normal drones just a bit bigger faster and stronger) and that is what makes them superior to normal drones?
and there are differences in aliens spec ed, the drones that are around the queen chamber look slightly different to the ones that attacked the marines after they got past the autoguns, and the ones the encountered within the hive structure.

The alien has to escape by knawing and biting it's way out of the host, this to me would explain any bite marks apparent on kanes limp body.

Umm, call me sceptic but i've never seen any shots of these marks on kanes chest, someone care to get a still of this if that's the case?
Sorry, i'm relentless on quests of fact or fiction concerning aliens.
The aliens primary goals are to increase population of their own kind and to kill, The only event so far that has covered what seems to be the alien 'eating' would be in Alien 3. Both Brett and Dallas in the original movie were taken away to the engineering decks, where as Parker and Lambert weren't even touched after their deaths.

ahh actually, they do need to eat when they are in the chestburster stage, as the Alien from Alien one didn't evolve until after it chewed up cain's body a bit (it shows cain again after the burst and it show's small bite marks on the inside of the chest.
I think that's where the game concept eat to eveolve faster came from.but on the other hand, apparently drones feed on queen jelly to keep them goingand don't actually have a proper digestive system.
what are your thoughts on this?

The alien strikes to the head are normally for two specific reasons - to incapacitate their pray (brett in alien) or to kill them straight off - (general perez - alien resurrection)
The alien posses a high motabolic rate and has an incresed rate of growth compared to that of the human race - it is evident that the aliens do not need to eat to grow (Again, reference to alien)

It dpepnds on which way you look at it - if you take the approach that the space jockies created them, then the aliens were engineered if you like, with a timed growth spurt, remember, their bodies and internal organs are drastically different from our own, what is standard for us is by no means, standard for them.

according to the AVP2 game the chestburster has to eat small mammals(cats,rats etc) in order to grow into a drone, and th hosts would feel them biting there way out of there chests, that is why Kane was convulsing( having a spaz attack)

Yes, but still I consider it as miraculous that they somehow grow without getting "new materials" than they already have.
I just can feel deep respect to their efficiency of breeding and growing.
(Maybe I`m too openminded `cos I admire the aliens as well...?)

and here's the only shot I can find of one of the drones in the queens chamber, I've got the DVD so if you have it too you can watch it and have a look, the Part where ripley goes into the egg chamber wih the queen and she threatens the queen with the flamethrower and then it shows the queen motioning to the drones blocking her exit and they back off.
