How are the preds and aliens conected?

were the aliens genetically modified/created to be hunted, or as weapons/hunting dogs for the predetors to use against larger prey? i have not seen predator 2 because no one has it but have seen all the alien movies. is the ship the alien eggs are on in the first movie a predator ship?

the preda hunt the aliens. no the space ship belonged to the space jockeys.

The Preds did not create them but because of AvP we know that they bred them on Earth and possibly other locations. The Predators are a race of warriors always enjoying their next hunt, and the Aliens prove the ultimate prey.

OK, this is my theory. Space Jockeys are actually slaves to the predators(that's actually Praetorian's idea), and they transport alien eggs across the galaxy, hence the ship in Alien with all those eggs. Preds discovered Earth and not only used it as a new breeding ground for aliens, but also a planet filled with honorable prey.
