why are u so obbsesive about paul anderson making a bad movie, i mean he didnt do a bad job except he made a few mistakes

well, i suppose some people had to like it. i thought AVP was terrible, bad characters, not enough action, story was a little weak, acting was terrible. paul anderson has only made 1 good film - event horizon.
plus, i hate crossover genres. all VS movies are rubbish in my opinion, they just dont work, they end up being cheesy and almost laughable. i mean look at freddy vs jason - they took two big horror movie stars and made them to look like a joke. same with AVP, did anyone really care if lex died or not? was the action we all waited for, for so long really worth watching? paul anderson did not listen to the fans demands, this film was an insult to the alien franchise.

you see, i'm also a big fan of transformers, i used to love them as a child - they are making a new movie with steven speilberg directing it, only this time its not a cartoon, its a live action movie, but the difference is, the company producing it have set up a website asking the fans what they would like to see, and, unlike paul anderson - steven speilberg is listening.

if you dont want to hear my answer then dont ask the question.
i say these things because i'm amazed that anyone with half a brain cell can actually think these movies are good. if you want to watch a good movie go put alien in your dvd player.

dont be sorry mate, i'm not mad, lol. i'm just really opinionated when it comes to that subject, i guess i'm just upset because i waited for so long to see AVP and i felt we as fans were robbed of something that had the potential to be great.

Good things about AvP:
1.animation
2.cooler pred armour
3.queens animation was sweet!
4.cooler versons of pred weopons
5.great pred ship
6. cooler hive web
7.ok plot but not great
8. predalien
Bad things about AvP:
1. Aliens dont act like aliens and preds dont act like preds.
2.part were alien stabbed predator and lifted him up (com,on preds way atleast 500 pounds)
3. look above ( alien cant streach its tail that long out to stab the predator they have a tail at least half the size of that)
3.eer the preds were wooses
4. the aliens were more kill everything instead of stealth.

environment
anamatronic aliens, less use of cgi
better looking predators/weapons
seeing the queen again.
flashback to thousands of alien on pyramid
bad things:
half hearted story
not enough aliens
only three preds
bad acting
terrible characters
shakey camera work during fight scenes
fight scenes not long enough
not enough violence
hardly any screen time for the queen
predalien
film was too short
scar teaming up with lex
preds die too quickly
small role for bishop
pg 13 rating
not enough suspense ala alien.

names?you mean the predator names?
the preds dont actually have names,(well in their language they do) they were given as nicknames to be able to identify them easier in the novel etc.

I think the movie was alright. could it of been better. definitly. but i mean.. Im not trying to get so much character developement that i feel like im not in an action movie. and in that respect AvP delivered. it gave me action. i didnt need a lot of character dialogue or back story. if i want all that i'll read a book, but if i want an hour of half of kickass action, then im going to watch a movie. I mean the original predator barely had any back story. or much character depth, but it really delivered on what i wanted. action, and adventure.

aliens was supreeme. it gave you everything you needed, the whole mix. no other movie in either franchise could compare. great story, great action, great characters.

Dave, i agree. aliens is by far the best of both franchises, but to me. alien vs predator is a close second, because it had everything In my opionon a good action movie needs. good fight scenes. cool graphics, and a kickass ending. but then again... my opninion is different from yours.
