The aliens in resurrection were definately not warrior aliens despite the figures being given those names. They were only drones, still maturing, they had a while to go before reaching warrior status.

As for the question you posed, otang, about the marines going in and finding warrior aliens in the second film, the only thing i can suggest is the fact that from the time it was said that Hadleys hope lost contact with gateway station, it took the sulaco at least a few weeks or maybe even a month to get out to LV4-26 (hence everyone on board being in cryogenic chambers)
