She would've survived. Floated through space untill i guess she was pulled in by a gravatational pull of a planet and burnt to a crisp. Either that or weyland new of this event and ordered a 'taxi' to come pick her up...

They can't do it on earth unless it's set sometime after alien Resurrection, as before Ripleys trip on the Nostromo there was only one hidden recording of the Aliens ever exsisting - and that was in the Pyramid in Antartica. Changing this would completely disrupt the timeline unless of course they opt for another 'Weyland covered it up' story.

Aliens have the ability to survive in any circumstances and environments, they are not in need of Oxygen to survive, who knows what happened to the queen once she sank in to the depths...
