There were different directors taking a different approach in all the movies, but yes, all the movie in some way or another were linked together. AVP was a prequel to alien whilst it was a sequel to predator.

how can it be bishop died in avp and alien3 is an older movie

Good question, alot of people say that is a clone of bishop in alien 3, as if you check the end credits of alien3 you'll see his name come up as 'bishop 2'
