Aiming System

In the Movies, Games an Comics the Aiming system has been shown to come from the Plasma Caster, something on the Gauntlet and the most famous look, the Bio-Mask.

Is that just the way it is or are they different On some designs? They have also appeared on the Oppisite side of the Mask, Im always wondering about this because i see them on the Plasma Caster Helmet and Gauntlet (wrist Computer)
